The gravity of the situation is really starting to hit me. I'm contemplating on whether or not I even want to track Saturday.

Being near the heart of the worst of it I'm probably going to just have to focus on whatever is headed for the house, at least til the threat is over, am not looking forward to it at all lol

New development east of Clarksdale throwing up some lightning. Something interesting I'm noticing....the southernmost storms in AR and MS are trying to turn right a little bit.

Going back to Alabama, I understand that overnight conditions aren’t as favorable east of I-65? I see that batch of showers west of Birmingham is starting to grow.

Not to be "that guy", but I've seen that exact image years ago. Pretty sure that's one of the 5/8/2003 tornadoes.

In looking at the hrrr, the am storms approaching i65 start racing northward, then it shows a few showers popping up in central Al...I wonder if those will happen due to eml building in and still some upper ridging...the supercells that pop in miss shown are widely spaced like we see now.
We have a long 24-30 hours ahead.

I think they need to extend that watch a little further southward. I don't know if I should stay up & secure my pets for this round or go to bed & assume a watch will wake me up?
