I have yet to see any pictures of damage that indicates EF4. I don't think we should be getting into the rating discourse until this event is well done.I don't want to pre-rate but it's safe to say we got at least a couple EF4 tornadoes. This has defied all expectations.
Especially with the report from Franklin, I feel like that just has to be an EF4. I can only hope there were no fatalities, or at the least exceptionally few.I don't want to pre-rate but it's safe to say we got at least a couple EF4 tornadoes. This has defied all expectations.
I think it's moving just south of Greenwood proper. It's taking a little bit of a right turn.Greenwood, MS likely taking a direct hit from a strong tornado right now
The gravity of the situation is really starting to hit me. I'm contemplating on whether or not I even want to track Saturday.Given the extremely prolific and intense nature of things tonight, if we get the right cell spacing tomorrow, this will likely be one of the few events we can compare to That One Day without the usual stigma of arbitrarily comparing a much lesser event to the worst day; it's probably going to rank well on up there in the all time outbreak tallies should this continue for the next 24 hours as models seem to suggest
