Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

Going to bed soon since I doubt I sleep much the next few nights. Also praying for convection out the yin yang to kill/lessen this insane threat. There's so many people in this state that don't need to deal with this yet. It may have been (almost) 14 years, but for them it was still yesterday. And I don't want to think about a new group of people having to live the nightmare and never having their lives be the same again. And like Tennie said, those going to bed tonight who may not be here come Sunday. Hug those you love and pray for lots of rain. Good night.

I'm going to say this right now, and I hope I'm wrong. These two days back-to-back are as an alarming of a setup as I've seen since 2011. If you live anywhere from MO and IL south to the Gulf Coast, prepare for a major severe weather event. This is the real deal, red letter day, whatever you want to call it.

Honestly I agree with you 100 percent. The fact you are putting this out there is straight up chilling since it’s coming from you

I’m sure there’s so many people on this thread that are having shades of “that day” it’s so sad seeing setups like this trigger in their mind that it will be exactly like that in some cases.
There is a lot of anxiety in this setup. So many people were affected. Even if a tornado did not directly hit you, the fact that North Alabama went almost a week without power is difficult for many people to deal with. I pray that this is not a repeat.

Think of him what you will (I have my own thoughts), but Reed is openly predicting 50-100 tornadoes on X. Just throwing it out there.
He was a whole lot more tolerable when he was still working for a news station and YouTube wasn't his source of income.

Reed knows his stuff but man he's practically getting paid off of fearmongering for clicks.

For a brief moment, the models teased hope: rain, glorious rain, sneaking in just enough to temper instability and maybe, just maybe, put a damper on the things. Like stepping around a fresh pile of dog dung on the sidewalk, smug in your avoidance skills.

Then came the ARW and NSSL, barreling in like an 18-wheeler on black ice.

So instead of stepping in dog crap, you’ve just stepped into oncoming traffic. Fantastic.

There might be a lot of chasers too given the significance of this event. These storm are most likely going to be rain wrapped and very low-surface based storms. I just hope people take into account that your life is more important than a swirl of wind.

You are a met that I’ve always put tremendous trust in.
