I live in Florence - is this saying there could be a tornado *in Florence specifically* in the next three hours?
There is no way to EVER tell what is going to happen 100% until it happens. There just isn’t. Predicting the future is complicated (think of peoples sports brackets).

If you live in the south, have MULTIPLE ways to get alerts and updates (weather radio, AND cell phone apps to start), and take SAFE action if a warning is issued for your area.

People have smoke detectors in their homes (bc it’s the law I think ), even though their houses don’t burn every year, but wont prepare themselves for severe weather that occurs several times a year by getting a weather radio (a “smoke detector” for bad weather).

I must say I love the new addition to the MD graphics! I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but it's really interesting to see inside the SPC's internal forecasts. In this case, it looks like an EF3 is plausible somewhere and significantly severe winds of 75-90 mph are possible (tell me why again the hatch was removed?)

I just now realized, even though they added the 45-59% area, they did remove the "hatched" zone. Clearly that was still needed.
