2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season

What would that mean for the longevity of the storms, and intensity? TSR for some reason is saying this will be some normie season but I am caging hard I doubt it tbh ngl.

I saw on this year’s NHC TWO’s at least two long tracking disturbances that came from over near Africa and dipped southward near the Central Northern Greater Antilles, Oscar being one of them.

That’s why I’m thinking we could see a strong storm or two take an Irma-like track in the 2025 season. Which means a possible return of long-tracking MDR storms going into or near the Caribbean.

Have you ever heard of the recent new thing called the Lazak Reoccurring Cycle?

It’s when low pressure areas repeatedly move into coastlines in certain places starting in October. So this year’s cycle started around October 2023 and ended around September this year.

To use an example; Tammy 2023 was a late-October MDR storm that made landfall in the northern Leeward Islands. So the cycle for 2024 had already started to emerge by then, and to cut matters short; Ernesto this year also struck the northern Leeward Islands.

2025’s cycle is starting up now but the guy who can up with it won’t release his forecast for potential coastal areas to watch until March 2025. He releases it every year on March 1st.
 
Longevity-wise, the farther tracked the longer lived. Just take Beryl in June this year for an example. It lasted from June 28 to July 9 as a TC including tropical depression stage.

I will be making a December prediction for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season now. Based on current climate model trends, here is what I think;

17 Named Storms
9 Hurricanes
5 Major Hurricanes
ACE prediction remains unchanged at 115-175 ACE.

I will be making further predictions in the following months after this: January 2025, February 2025, March 2025, April 2025, May 2025 (finalized pre-season prediction), September 2025 and October 2025 (final prediction of the 2025 season).

I make new predictions from January-May each year based off of climate models from each month. September and October predictions are just final guesses off of the hurricane season stats at the end of those two months. The October prediction is the final prediction and no other predictions will be made by me for the rest of the remaining season so as to see how the rest of the season goes.

I agree with you not buying it. I think it will be a cool ENSO-Neutral or maybe even a weak La Niña towards the end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
