Please don't let Atlanta shut down tomorrow. We need to go through there to get to Tuscaloosa for the Super 7.

Not sure how they’re gonna handle Super 7 with snow being projected tomorrow. Traffic is already a nightmare on campus with road closures and with things trending toward higher amounts during the day today. Not sure they’ve ever had to deal with snow during super 7.

Hey guys - back again. Been awhile since the old forum went down, came up, then down - and back!

Looking forward to discussing...tomorrow looks fun. A few things:

15Z SREF Plumes, even with the 2 largest outliers removed, still show about an inch or show for BHM

never doubt the NW trend

Down here in SE LA and the HRRR pelts me with 2-3" on the ground (closer to 5" if you use 10:1) -- The GFS was late to the party for us. Even the EXTREMELY conservative to call snow mets are coming on board. It is currently snowing in Austin, TX and that is ahead of schedule from what I have seen. I like the trend for us .... (meaning we like snow since it is so rare and usually melts by noon the next day)

It depends on if this thing can generate it's own cold air. Then is could cool off quick if enough stuff falls quickly. I don't think that happens though.

We had surface temps down in the upper teens to low 20s for 2014's "Snowmageddon." That won't be the case this go around, but if we can get some of the rates latest guidance has, a few inches aren't out of the question and temps dropping into the upper 20s.

At Exit 291 I-65 Hanceville Light snow

Just went outside to look around. It must have just started. It is melting tho after a few minutes. The trucks and deck have wet spots like rain, but no snow on them.

With the ground as warm as it is, it will take heavy rates to get to to stick.

With the DP running in the low 20s here in Southern Cullman, it'll be hard to saturate the lower level until later today. Maybe this afternoon early evening may end up with around an half inch here. Really early in the season for any snow in the South, so fingers crossed we'll get another good one like 2015 maybe after the first of the year. Goodnight all =)

Seems Central Alabama is getting the brunt of the snow this morning. They upgraded parts of the area to a Winter Storm Warning. Here in Hanceville, it just started sleeting.
