Severe Weather Threat 3/7-3/9/2024

2: HRRR long-range comes in hot
3: HRRR downtrends the day of
4: Rain showers
 
Real talk though, Gulf Coast may get some severe come Saturday, but the best wind fields are displaced from instability, so it should keep the threat for tornadoes lower.

With all the focus on severe weather Friday, let's not disregard the flash flooding potential. Wouldn't be surprised to a Moderate Risk for Excessive Rainfall issued by WPC.
