Winter Weather 2022-2023

While a major episode of severe weather is about to unfold elsewhere, meanwhile in my SoCal town it snowed yesterday and this morning I woke up to ice on the ground. Probably the latest it's ever snowed here, at least since I've been alive. The weather does strange things...

Alta, Utah up to 874 inches of snow this winter (with a base of 240+ inches currently)...

Looks like the upper midwest might be getting some more snow yet this month. I do not want it.

It's been snowing on and off since about 4pm. Luckily, it's all been melting as soon as it lands (it was 37F here when in started), but I'm still really not a fan. Sounds like they still expect some may accumulate overnight. Blech.

For context, it was 80+ degrees there Tuesday-Friday prior to this, and even hit 90 in La Crosse on Wednesday.

Our temps were similar here in Dane county, though thankfully our accumulation isn't quite as bad. This is so gross.

PS: It really is a lodge and it's not haunted. It is on an active volcano, though.
