Weird "clouds"

Okay so there's this weird cloud thing over part of New Zealand at the moment. I don't know what it is so I'll leave photos and hopefully someone can help out.

What is it? I'm at the very tip of that trail/spike thing and the weather is horrible. Strong winds and heavy rain on and off. Power cuts etc

No there wasn't. It's still sitting at the same place at 6:18am.

Problem with the radar would be my guess.

It's likely not weather related unless there was hail. The radar spike was likely wireless radio interference from some device on the same type of frequencies as the radar.
