Sorry folks.
Today we had an unplanned outage due to a recent upgrade we performed. Our contract with Amazon was scheduled to come to an end earlier this month so we took the opportunity to upgrade our database server to something a little more powerful. However, I didn't correctly pair the new server with the new contract. Amazon "fixed" the issue which resulted in a 43-minute downtime according to our automated reporting service. I was able to contact them quickly and get the problem resolved and we are stable. I'm making notes now to ensure this doesn't happen on our next renewal/DB upgrade.
