We have a new Twisters movie coming out July 19th. I'm very interested to see how technology has upgraded since the 1996 movie and how weather accurate it will be. And how they remember Bill Paxton.

Here is the trailer.

I am so looking forward to it!!!! It seems like we have been waiting for it for years. I can already hear some of the same disagreements as last time... why are they hiding under a bridge/overpass, etc. I noticed that the movie's storyline seems very similar to the original based on the trailer. I hope it isn't a rehashing of the same story, they have sooo many storylines they could go after.

Judging by recent movies, I'm 99.99% sure that "Twisters" finna flop, but I could be wrong

The tornado visuals look terrific. Yes, hope there's a reference to Bill Paxton's character, too.

And also Dusty, may he rest in peace, too. :(

Wonder how the "students" will be -- that group of actors in Twister worked SO well together.

A second trailer for Twisters is out. In the trailer, you see a water tower with "El Reno" on it. I wonder if they will honor the storm chasers that were killed there in 2013.

Seeing the trailer, I'm afraid there are going to be a lot of absurdities in it, although that's not to say the original '96 Twister didn't have some unrealistic aspects to it. ;)

Way, Way better than I thought it would be.
Second your opinion. Not gonna lie, was expecting a hot piece of dogsh!t after watching the trailers, but it was actually a very enjoyable movie.
I'd give it a 7/10

I will say the whole premise of dissipating tornadoes by shooting iodide and absorbent polymer into them is pretty stupid though.

Here is my out of theater reaction of Twisters. Seeing it in IMAX at Mcwane Science Center was awesome. I'll put out a written review in the next few days.

I finally watched Twisters this morning, and I have to say it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. As good as Twister was, Twisters was equally bad.

Nevermind the weather stuff, the script was terrible. My wife and I both about lost it when Reed, error, Tyler was talking to Kate in the barn and analyzing her state of mind with the knowledge that could really only come from a long term relationship(romantic or otherwise), and they only met 48 hours prior and had spent a total of about 10 minutes together.

The rodeo scene was just embarrassing.

Overall, a major disappointment.

After watching "Twisters" the other night, we saw a movie called "Christmas Twisters" as a related movie on Amazon Prime Video.

I think it is now my favorite Christmas movie ever. It is one of those movies that is so bad it is good. It was made in 2012 and features a cast of characters I've never heard of.
