I am intrigued as to why a lot of violent Texas tornadoes (Jarrell 1997, Wichita Falls 1964, Granbury 2013 and Westminster 2006 among others) were slow movers while a lot of violent Dixie tornadoes (all of the Super Outbreak EF5's among others) were very fast moving. Of course there are outliers in both cases (Glazier TX 1947 was a fast mover for example). Maybe the way storms in the different regions interact with cold fronts? Of course that's just a complete shot in the dark and ultimately I couldn't tell anyone for sure.

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF
WEST TEXAS INTO EXTREME SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO
Scattered strong/severe thunderstorms are expected across much of
west Texas into extreme southeast New Mexico. Large hail and locally
damaging winds are possible.

West TX is closer to the large low-pressure system over the 4 Corners region putting out impulses to the east that is running into moisture and upper-level energy.
