PLEASE READ Technical Report and Information Thread

I have been reached by several individuals who would love to have a place where information about the Forum can be gathered and reported in a general area, so that those who use the forum and the administrators can ensure that everyone is kept up to date. This is that place.

Let me be clear, though, with some firm rules. This is not a place to bash the moderators, administrators, or @WesL. This is a place to thoughtfully explain or tag us so we are aware and can respond to you. Remember that @WesL, @JayF, and the moderators all have full-time jobs, so we understand that sometimes things may come up that make it not feasible to fix them right at that moment.

Thank you to Wes for finding that Database issue, fixing it so that we can all enjoy talking about the weather and helping people. So that said, get back to the weather, there are thunderstorms, heavy rains, and tornadoes, folks. Get to it.

Hey there, just want to start by commending you all for the sites excellent performance during this severe weather event! Was lightning fast and handled all the traffic super well.

I am having an issue with the mobile app though. When I try to look at new comments in a thread it loads content from several pages earlier and stacks dozens of comments all on a single page and hides new content. I'll be scrolling new comments and all of a sudden they'll dissapear and get buried by posts that were made hours prior. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably a glitch with the sustaining membership live feed.

Sorry I did not see this last night. Thank you for the update and if I had my guess it is more than likely something to do with the live feed as you said. I do know the live feed was working well last night on my computer. I don't actually use the app so feed back like this is good to have.

No problem and thanks for getting back! I wasn't having any issues with the desktop site last night either. Seems to be purely a mobile issue. I don't have an actual app, but If you just bookmark the site to the homescreen of your phone it behaves like an app. It's sweet!

What browser were you using so I can try to replicate the problem.

It's the iphone app that I was having issues with, and i'm guessing that runs through safari.
