Svr Wx threat April 1-April 2 2024

From the most recent CAMs, mesoanalysis, and surface observations, the best parameters (possibly of the entire event) look like they're taking shape in Deep South Dixie, in SE MS, South AL, and south GA. Just my subjective view looking at everything right now.

Long track discrete East TN cell looks like it’s about to meet its end in the mountainous area of southeastern KY. Losing some of its structure. Area of extremely mountainous terrain (I know that doesn’t always matter) with the highest elevation point in KY.

People always say this about elevation changes and terrain not mattering, but as someone who lived in the infamous North Georgia "wedge" for quite a while - I believe there's more to it

Edit: And just like that, it lives!

Storm chaser Aaron Rigsby reported an unwarn tornado west of Williamsburg in Clermont County, OH moments ago.

It really should've been warned 15+ minutes ago and I was really surprised it wasn't.

Same my friend - not Georgia, but Eastern KY. 3/2/2012 kind of put some of that to bed, but there is a real topographical impact I believe on supercells. Dr. Tim Coleman and Dr. knupp from Alabama have done a lot of good research on it

Brooksfield tornado has a very well-defined couplet
