Significant Tornado Events - Global Edition

Yep, that's TOTY....in France..
Apparently homes are completely destroyed from this based on initial reports - could be an intense or even violent tornado since European construction tends to be much better than the US. Motion doesn't look overly impressive to me based on this video but the rotation tornadoes display can be deceiving sometimes.

Mentioned this risk 4 days ago too in the main thread. Anomalous parameter space verifies.

There is another quite concerning setup that will unfold across Western Europe on Thursday and Friday. Estofex has issued a level 3 outlook for Eastern France with a sizeable risk of tornadoes, some of which could be quite strong.

ASTORP has also generated a level 3 risk across Southern France/Northern Italy for Friday, with main risks being significant wind gusts + hail, and of course a decent tornado risk. 1787785917213.png

Yeah, this one's a concern. Stout EML overtop very strong effective shear of near 70 kts, practically a similar situation to the IF3+ a few days ago in this exact region.

Very strong low level shear should lead to a risk of potentially significant tornadoes.
