Significant Tornado Events - Global Edition

While 10/4/13 is notorious for the Moville, IA EF4, on my side of the river in Clonfert, County Galway, this rather impressive (and significant) tornado took place. The tornado uprooted large, and "fairly old" trees, and a toddler would thankfully avoid being injured as a tree fell right onto her room, collapsing in the roof. I couldn't find any official rating for this tornado unfortunately, but I would estimate it's between the EF1-EF2 range at least.

TORRO do have this event in their database I believe, but I don't think they awarded any rating (that I know of), but it'd likely be between T2/3 - T4

Dunno if this has been posted before, and technically it isn't a true tornado, but this dust devil in Germany several years ago is surprisingly intense.

There was a tornado that hit suburban Paris on Monday apparently. Killed one person and did decent damage. Lots of footage of it.

I did see one of those during an Arizona road trip back in 2021. I took a video of it, which unfortunately I don't think I have anymore, but I do have this screenshot I saved and sent off to a friend. You can see the multiple vortices in there:

Probably the closest I'll get to seeing a 'tornado' as long as I'm living out here...

Sorry to double post, but here's an interesting and practically undocumented international tornado event I came across. Naturally, this came to my attention when I was searching for footage of a completely unrelated tornado... it seems to have touched down somewhere outside of Ladybank, Fife, Scotland on July 16, 2011. It may have been a cold air funnel or waterspout over River Tay. But other than that... I can't find *any* information whatsoever on this tornado. The ESWD has no record of it, and I can't find any news article about it. TORRO might have something (@TornadoesUK @picturesoftrickery @WeathermanLeprechaun or any of our other contributors from the UK and Ireland might be able to check?) but my hopes aren't high tbh. Anyhow, here's some footage of it.

This isn't the only tornado that occurred in the Fife area that July. Couldn't dig up anything from the 16th but impressive look for Scottish tornadoes!

Paris metro tornado has been rated IF2.

Also, on the topic of strong Irish tornadoes, I recall a fairly recent one (I think about two years ago) that tossed boats at a marina, snapped large trees, impaled lumber through the windshields of cars, and ripped roofs off of masonry buildings in a small town. It was a late season tornado in November or December and was rated IF2, but I cannot remember the name of the town.

I'm betting some models underplayed the amount of low level shear because the environment wouldn't necessarily support a strong tornado imo if I showed some soundings in the area. Not too surprised by rating, very classic surprise sigtor for Europe in the Fall/Winter.
Definitely deserves the rating too. I saw pics showing a few houses with total loss of their roofs.

Also I just remembered the Irish tornado I was thinking of. It was the 2023 Leitrim IF2.
