I was trying to post, but everything was broke for me until your post came through. Yes, very sad. Even more so when the radar watcher at the NWS was reluctant to issue a tornado warning until it was on the ground.

My goodness. They acknowledge the TDS in Newcastle in chat but didn't upgrade the warning.

The heck? If this was going to happen I would have looked for it a couple days ago with the 10 hatch, or tomorrow with the next one. Last night's setup wasn't even on my "radar."
Yeah, I had no idea that last night was anywhere near capable of what it produced. Waking up to this is pretty nuts. Was there some sort of mesoscale nonsense that popped up, like an outflow boundary that storms latched onto?
