...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN OSAGE COUNTY...

At 919 PM CDT, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located 5 miles southeast of Hominy, moving northeast at 40 mph.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous night with the supercells not really getting cranking until after dark (as was always a strong possibility given the model solutions). Not too sorry I wasn't able to chase this one despite passing through Oklahoma and Kansas just yesterday. I think the temptation to call "bust" in part stems from most chasers/enthusiasts envision these storms producing long-track, photogenic tornado families starting around 21Z and lasting through 00Z, when they can be seen. Unfortunately for both chasers and public safety, that's not always how these things work.
