Severe Weather Threat - May 6, 2024

From OUN: Near-term, seems like the tornado threat is beginning to ramp up as surface winds have backed slightly locally in Fairview, Putnam, and Butler ahead of these storms. We'll probably see this sort of medium-level tornado risk for the next hour or so. After 6:00, the environment will undergo another ramp-up as storms cross over the moisture gradient (for context, the dewpoint is 65 at Watonga/Fairview and 70 at Kingfisher, 70 at Medford). That will start to kick off the high-level tornado risk.

The Alva storm is some what struggling, but I am curious to see what happens with it. If if can keep moving north east, it could really get out there all by itself and go to town in the northern portion of the high risk.
