Dallas fans outraged after Pete Delkus’ weather report steals American Idol’s thunder​

A station executive said its priority is always keeping communities safe.​

“You had to take away the last 10 minutes of the entire 2025 season,” one viewer wrote on X. “It’s spring in Texas. We get bad weather. That is not news. That’s Sunday night in May.”

“I’m so angry!” another wrote on Facebook. “How incredibly rude to state for hours he didn’t want to keep us from Idol, then talked thru the most important part.”
