THE TORNADO THREAT MAY ALSO INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON,
ESPECIALLY WITH ANY SUPERCELL STRUCTURES THAT CAN BECOME ESTABLISHED
WITHIN THE SOUTHERN FLANK OF THE MCS IN THE VICINITY OF THE WARM
FRONT.

Ignoring isn't a great feature when the person you're trying to ignore creates severe weather threads and then extends them for 10 days so he can remain the center of the website for as long as possible. I've missed several days of activity on this site now because I didn't realize he kept extending this thread. I just thought the site was dead. Out of 29 pages TEN of them are him and they're ALL Twitter posts. That's right. In a thread covering a span of 10 days he's posted TWO HUNDRED F****NG TWEETS. And in order to keep up with and participate on this site you have to put up with those 20 notifications a day, or you'll lose track of which threads are currently active. Please. Mods, I'm begging you. Moderate this crap.
Perhaps, if I may, provide a more median solution. I think it’s been said on this site before, but we could have a general social media post dumping ground thread. That way the main thread can be saved for in depth discussion, while people like myself who don’t wanna make accounts and wade through the mush on twitter can still see relevant things. Its not perfect, but its another solution to considerI already feel bad about this outburst because idk what the solution is.
Personally, I'm leaning towards banning tweets. There's definitely some great content we'll miss out on by doing it, but there's a few users who are completely ruining it for everyone else. Sacrificing a few, scattered high-value tweets to stop the mountains of slop might be worth it?
This outburst is probably best reserved for DMs. While you acknowledge the language is a bit tense, i do agree. It seems like every time we have this conversation, this X stuff gradually begins all over again with the same tweets. I do agree at some point we need some sort of Twitter dumping thread because engaging in discussions is becoming rarer on this forumIgnoring isn't a great feature when the person you're trying to ignore creates severe weather threads and then extends them for 10 days so he can remain the center of the website for as long as possible. You can have all the fuel you want, but wit no good forcing mechanism or something holding it back, convection will not develop. That's what happening at the 700mb level. Too warm for convection to root currently in that parameter space. Not sure SPC should've upgraded.
Now, initiation has took place but will these cells manage to mature and root like I've said. Thermodynamics will make it tough but we will see.You can have all the fuel you want, but wit no good forcing mechanism or something holding it back, convection will not develop. It’s definitely starting to spin. Additionally, we have effective SRH of 300+ m2/s2 around that area. If this storm actually roots itself we could see an intense tornado.CAPE looks to be about 5k and that storm headed toward Fargo looks like its already trying to form a hook
