Severe WX Severe Weather Threat June 19-23

Didn't yesterday evening look equally as threatening as tonight and did almost nothing in terms of tornadoes? It's clear the SPC is losing just as much trust in the models as we are. They should probably start pushing to bring back all the weather balloon launches that were cancelled.

I'm aware you said almost but there were still a person killed yesterday due to a very late nocturnal tornado that was likely as strong

Regarding them losing trusts, i don't think it's the models. They just outright tend to make odd decisions sometimes and many times this year they've done this. Not acting to push on a threat they know has a high ceiling (a lot are forgetting that the SPC had eyes on this higher end scenario 3 days out but never pushed for it despite them constantly saying it) they've verified a few times this year but it's been a rough year for events that somehow underperformed and now days like these where hindsight's 50/50. There will be no successful push against the cuts. It's a thing. We're not gonna stop it, as much as a pain in the money maker to say that but we're gonna have to deal with this unless some miraculous train of thought comes around.

I'm gonna head to bed, but yeah, this cell looks like one of the last problems of the night. Let's hope poorer thermos limit it but it is already a mature supercell. Strong tornado will be possible with it in the near-term. Good night. What a MCV related outbreak.

Have to admit StormNet has genuinely been extraordinary when it comes to placement of setups. I don't pay attention to its intensity not to get focused up but it is a exceptional tool. I think I'm beginning to finally find trust in it to add it to my forecasting fully. Not to rely on it but see it as a tool for hotspots. It had this bang on.

So, does someone want to explain to me why on earth this doesn’t have a tornado warning on it? It has the look of producing a potentially significant tornado north of Evansville.

Now, they finally warned it after ten minutes of it obviously being ready to produce. IMG_5738.png
