Not to hate on them but… they should’ve, could’ve upgraded at maybe 2000 or 0100. Even the tornado watch before 2000 outlook said intense tornadoes and mcd mentioning strong tornadoes.

We’ve had multiple power flashes and an intensifying couplet that suggests that a strong to intense tornado is in progress. Not sure why they haven’t issued a confirmed warning. You could argue it deserves a PDS.

Of course there's also no warning downstream. In a few minutes it'll be out of the warning polygon entirely. I'm sick of this office

The Evansville tornado reminds me of the Huntsville tornado in 2010, condensation funnel isn’t all the way to the ground but it’s definitely down

Im still scratching my head as to why they didn’t go with a 10% hatched. I actually just assumed they did until I looked at the outlook when I got off work and you wouldn’t believe my surprise.
It was evident since early this morning that at least a notable tornado outbreak was possible, definitely enough for a 10% at least.
2026 has just not been their year in most cases.

Now a reported a tornado impacting the Evansville suburb of Newburgh. This suburb was hit by a deadly EF3 in 2005, and was subsequently damaged by an EF1 in 2012 and an EF2 in 2020.

Cell over the KVWX radar is starting to develop a prominent hook near Poseyville.

Would watch Oklahoma tonight with that supercell ahead of the MCS as @jharris0220 mentioned and in general, the MCS will also hold some sort of weak tornado threat as it traverses throughout the night into early morning.

Also noting N AL will have a sneaky tornado threat given remnant low level shear and CAMs model strong convection in this area 7-8pm tmrw.
