Severe Weather Threat June 15-23

Last few runs of the HRRR for today are concerning, to say the least. Shows the cap breaking with multiple discrete to semi-discrete supercells in a high-end environment. >4000 J/kg of CAPE across a pretty wide area, with 0-3 km shear exceeding 600 m2/s2 in some spots. I understand CAMs notoriously struggle on days like these though, so we’ll see. But a violent tornado is absolutely possible if the HRRR verifies, perhaps more than one.
Oh wow @slenker

Max wind gusts for us yesterday were 66 at Dulles and 61 at DCA. Surprisingly basically no damage in my neighborhood even though we’re right across the street from DCA.

spc out with new d1 and im not exactly sure but im guessing they are going with the upscale growth into a mcs i hope thats the case and things turn into a wind bag with brief short lived spinup tornadoes
We’ll see some supercell at tornadoes at some point. Hopefully a beautiful short lived cone over green fields

The end of a wild several days. @Atlantic did us a huge favor starting this thread for June 15-20and we had dozens of tornadoes. Thank God no injuries or deaths and bad damage to homes.
