Severe Weather Threat January 8-10, 2026

Were we expected to reach 500 this far north? If not, then tornado threat is more robust than anticipated for NW GA. Several weak, bookend/QLCS tornadoes are possible. We mightve just had another

Tornado threat rapidly lowering and is probably over. So that probably marks the end of the tracking portion of this sequence unless something goofy takes place later. Surprised this thread managed over 20 pages but we did have some activity occasionally. If models are right, severe weather might be done for a few weeks! Maybe one or two sneak events inbetween perhaps but we will see

In case you were not aware, FFC is not as up to par overall as BMX in a couple different aspects :)
Oh, i know all about FFC because of reading old threads on here and seeing the multiple members slamming them for good reason on significant tornadoes. They missed a bunch on 4/12/20 which was disappointing.

Can we PLEASE not say things are probably over AT LEAST until watches are cancelled or expired? LOL! You know what I always say :)

first severe/tornado event of 2026 to kick things off. We’ll see prob 15-20 tornadoes total when all is said and done. Already 10 confirmed

Ok so you get it then.. good LOL!!!

BMX can also be HIGHLY responsive on Twitter when they can be, which I appreciate. Even though I live in FFCs coverage area, I tend to follow BMX more closely because I am on the AL/GA border. Their warnings/watches serve as an early heads up.
