Certainly a decent couplet there. Mesoscale parameters are maximized (relatively, I mean, they're not that intense) right in that area of NE MS/SW TN/far NW AL. Won't be surprising to see a few rotating cells but would be surprised to see anything really significant actually happen. It's April though...

NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
305 PM CDT Sat Apr 22 2017

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northern and West Central Alabama
Central and Northeast Mississippi
Southern Middle Tennessee

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 305 PM until
900 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Storms are increasing from southwest Tennessee into
central Mississippi ahead of a cold front moving into the area.
Stronger storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and
large hail.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 100 miles southwest of
Columbus MS to 70 miles north northeast of Huntsville AL. For a
complete depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline
update (WOUS64 KWNS WOU8).

Yeah, even this cell's rotation has been cyclical. Wraps up, looks good, then weakens. Rinse and repeat. Shear isn't the best for keeping it going for a long time.
 
Looks like the cell merger has disrupted things a bit. Rotation signature is more diffuse now

Looks like we definitely had a brief tornado. The rotation is mostly gone now though. Shear seems to drop off pretty quickly the further east the storms go today.
