There's gotta be a twin or a bunch of satellites on this guy. The amount of times it's had a secondary concentrated area of rotation is quite high.

What an infuriating event. I was so happy thinking we got away from this with minimal impacts, but nope. 2026 decides to plow an intense+ tornado straight through a semi-populated area with mobile homes at night.

This is pretty much a normal thing now, it basically happens every year Sadly.

Looks like it's weakening briefly but there's tight rotation all the way up to the highest tilt, which is 23,000 feet. Impossible to tell what's happening on the ground, but TDS is still there.

I finally got around to reading the latest MD for this storm and it’s not hard to see why we might have had an intense to violent tornado. Effective STP in this area is 8-10. 0-1 helicity values are over 300 as well.

Yeah... this thing is aimed DIRECTLY at Batesville. Hoping for the best, but we'll see.

Looks outflowy, not really much hooking, just a straight line down. It has to wrap up a fair amount from here to do anything.
