Severe Weather Threat 4/27-4/28

The site issues (this isn’t aimed at you @MichelleH) are getting pretty tiresome. I don’t want to come across as ungrateful or whining, but this has been a solid issue now for months with the cloudfare errors. Now it’s moved to general sluggishness and image attachment functionality gone. I’d appreciate if the technical mods at least gave us more heads up and were more interactive on this.

I'm really glad the federal government has prioritized improving the NEXRAD radar network to fill in some of this country's radar holes such as the ones in Northern Mississippi and southeastern Missouri, over egregious budget cuts that are leaving WFO's underfunded and understaffed. They really have their priorities straight.

(sarcasm)
Not to mention axing balloon launches. I'm 75% sure mesoanalysis is very far off today over south MO. By all accounts on mesoanalysis, these three storms should be producing, but they've looked bad for like two hours. Coincidentally, neither Little Rock nor Paducah launched at all today.

Even before they dipped into the radar hole, they didn’t even look that good. What a pretty bizarre event today.

As someone who supports this site financially because it means a lot to me, I second this 1000%

Totally think this is an issue. We really need more real time data in general, but especially on days like today.

Just spotted some rotation! This is it! Here we go! You ready? Yeah right, no you frikken aren't! This is the main event. It's time.

In all seriousness it's worth noting the 0-1km SRH on these Southern MO, Northern AR cells is about twice as much as the models forecast. That was the main limiting factor for them.
