Yeah I was talking to a bro from Canada showing him tornado pics etc from this weekend his mind was utterly blown. Im like eh, it’s America lol. Like for me i am a bit with the violence etc but for him as in yeah I get this outbreak was bad but it happens lol ..That's a whole lot of tornadoes there. It's crazy that the United States has the world's most severe weather.
This is a really good article and one I’ve read before. I do disagree with him though on the rarity of the “optimal environment”. Our in depth data, specifically on indices the day of an outbreak, does not go back that far.![]()

Last Wednesday's tragic and historic tornado outbreak (see photos above, and my prior blog post) was unprecedented in the past 75 years of U...davieswx.blogspot.com
Shortly after the super outbreak I read this article. He states halfway through that the environment from 4/27 was so optimal for violent tornadoes that we may NEVER see those exact conditions again.
Another video of the Diaz tornado here, took a couple of screencaps when it was illuminated by lightning.

A lot of tornadoes actually do some pretty significant damage in the stovepipe shape. Winds constrict. So compact. I do know not all violent tornadoes are large but yeah..
The Hesston, KS 1990 F5 tornado is a good example.A lot of tornadoes actually do some pretty significant damage in the stovepipe shape. Winds constrict.
Yeah I know. I just pictured a wedge I guess lol or one of the large tornadoes I saw in live time Friday night here on group that were posted, thinking one of those the eF4.A lot of tornadoes actually do some pretty significant damage in the stovepipe shape. Winds constrict.
Oh nice. That supercell didn’t put down a long lasting , kept spitting them. Story of outbreak.

You were talking about a Moderate Risk day that mentions long track violent tornadoes so I looked one up.Thanks
