If the positioning of the Calera tornado's radar signature is accurate, it appears that it likely passed over/near the strip mine on the northwestern side of the town.

Watching this line of convection assosciated with a confluence line in SE Alabama. The enviornment ahead of it is very adequate for tornadoes (500-1200 J/kg of MLCAPE and 350-400 m2/s2 of 0-1 Km SRH. Definetly something to watch into the evening hours.
