3000 SBCAPE over Jackson Mississippi at 5PM EST today. 2500 across the state.

It looks like some of the CAPE may be approaching 3,500 J/KG. That is insane for this time of year.

If it was well after sunrise, more persistent and widespread, and closer to the Gulf I’d say there’d be a chance of that, but unfortunately none of that is the case.

Every single parameter of this storm now matches April 27th 2011 almost exactly. Would be interested in seeing some current soundings from the area.

Idk if we have any users who live in Pontotoc, but anyone there should be aware. No imminent tornado yet, but the meso is slowly becoming more organized.
