This STL supercell could be a more a brief, semi-embedded type spin up - still strong (like the one to the north). Yet I am slightly worried it might end up being a longer tracked one. RFD surge underway with a well defined inflow channel developing. Could be very, very bad for STL.

tornado warning in north arkansas extended
01z HRRR pulls the morning convection even further NW and just reloads for the afternoon.
Staff going down the stairs now to the basement. One of the anchors could be heard saying "we don't have 4 minutes" in response to someone.

WFO St Louis says tornado imminent heading into the city eventually.
Tornado passed just north of mount Olive, not a direct hit.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see anything, but this live camera is in downtown St Louis. The sirens are going of course.

Keep in mind that radars especially if located far from a tornado are not accurate regarding the exact position.
The tornados true location could’ve been further north or straight through town.

The Bakersfield cell seems to be moving towards Ellington. Anyone who knows their Tornado History should recognize that town as important about 100 years ago to the day...
