Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

What questions does it introduce? What did you notice exactly?

My post keeps timing out. The question it introduces is how far the SPC will expand the high risk further to the NW because it sure looks like it is needed as Fred pointed out earlier today. Other question is with that much coverage by cells what kind of spacing can they maintain.

The questions answered are about the morning convection being less of an issue and how quickly instability builds after that.

I think it is a weird run because I didn't expect that many isolated cells.

Even having fully expected this kind of scenario, watching it unfold has me shocked and sick to my stomach. This is a likely violent, high end, tornado. For those who like reference to recent events, this is your quad-state, or rolling fork type supercell: intense, steady state, and long lived. This will likely track for miles. If anyone is on here and in those areas, just get to shelter. Hoping for the best.

These embedded supercells particularly the one directly over Gray Summit on the outskirts of Saint Louis have steadily produced several tornadoes and appears to be ramping up for another. Heavily populated areas now under the gun.
