It's had some pretty solid rotation for a while now. If it produces it could easily spit out another sigtor.

I'd say our tornado outbreak is now starting to commence. You've got at least 2 tornadic supercells in Northern Arkansas, continuing to strengthen and in a very favourable environment. You then have a semi-discrete line moving into E MO. That supercell near Steelville especially looks nasty.

I'm grasping at straws basically, but could a possible limiting factor be that might just be too many cells? If they're clustered a bit more they could end up stealing energy from each other.

45% risk of tornadoes in the Day 1 outlook, i.e. above the usual standard for a high risk. To my knowledge there's been less than a dozen 45% risks issued, and all but one of them ended up being major outbreaks.

Looks as though the cell SOUTH of the Rolla cell is also warned now. So Rolla is now the middle of 3 warned cells.

I doubt they will issue a 60% hatched area, but hey… you never know. Regardless, it’s gonna be a historic day.
