This supercell is pretty much lining up with exactly what the models had shown. A long track supercell making a bee line for the St. Louis area.

Updated d1 outlook, greatly expanded 15% hatched tornado risk.

FWIW I'm still (barely) in the hatched area for wind, although the HRRR has been gradually downtrending in apparent intensity with the portion of the arcing line that makes it here around midnight. Still, wouldn't take a whole lot of convection to bring strong gusts to the surface.

These storms are moving at around 70 mph. However; they are easily capable of producing straight line weeds at or exceeding 70 mph.

My entire family lives in STL. I'm so stressed for them, but at least thankfully basements are common there!
