Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

could possibly be a more linear event across northern MS into the TN valley of AL and a cellular event across central/southern MS into central AL. If that ended up occurring, SPC would have nailed the placement of the high risk.

Looking like they nailed it to me.

I'm not buying into the sentiment in here that things are looking better. This initial line was always supposed to happen. It's sucking up CAPE from the gulf and leaving it in its trail. super cells start popping up in that. It's a self fueling process and each line of storms will be more powerful than the last.

Think of this outbreak in waves. We're in the first wave. The second wave will be worse. And the third wave will be worse than that.
are you saying you think there will be storms that fire behind the current line that we have? i am highly skeptical of that. if that is what you are banking on for violent tornadoes, then i definitely think we are doing better.

i think it is pretty clear the cells firing ahead of the line are going to be the source of the long track violent tornadoes, if they do in fact occur.

Happy to hear you feel that way and I hope you're right! But it's dangerous to start getting dismissive this early, and there isn't a single meteorologist who agrees with you.
