Severe WX Severe Weather Thread - 6/15/26 - 6/18/26

Hope you’re right, and I'm wrong. Because this was very close to a strong rain wrapped tornado in populated area situation.
Oh you definitely are. That happens all the time without it being a Joplin tier event. That’s like calling any sizable tornado that hits a suburb a “Moore type situation”. It’s a hyperbolic, irresponsible, and quite frankly a stupid comparison to make.

I would just laugh if this ends up proving us all to look like utter clowns in the next 10 minutes but I highly doubt it

I'm not referring to the outcome. But the scenario here was clear, high-precip, big-tornado, populated-area. Why would I use Moore when it wasn't a high precip event? Stop putting words in my mouth.

Lol I’m not, nor was I accusing you of comparing this event to Moore. I was using that as a parallel example to demonstrate how ridiculous it is to call something Joplin-like just because it’s rain wrapped and in a populated area.
