Severe weather all hazards threat for wed 10/21 through Sunday 10/25 2026

Updated it to Severe weather all hazards threat for wed 10/21 through Saturday 10/24 2026 thanks for catching that and wow the severe stretch continues looks like golly we had severe weather almost all week
Will continue to do so but this stretch will definitely die down soon enough and then there's signals for next week but that's moreso on the low end so no need to worry yet about a thread for that

Still waiting on surveys for tornadoes last few days...
Heber-Overgaard was rated EF2, I'm pretty sure. As for the sigtor in NM last night, mightve been too rural for any notable damage to see but that looked pretty nasty via VROT.

Okay so day two has marginal risk out still no tornado threat or wind just 5% hail but but still waiting until day one

The environment seems to support it dry dew points elongated hodograph I assume high lcl and elevated instability steep lapse rates could lead to outflow dominate storms left splitters perhaps upper level supports it surface feature with easterly winds with stationary front too maybe upon trying to fill in the puzzle pieces

GREATER BUOYANCY IS EXPECTED FARTHER SOUTH, WHERE DEWPOINTS WILL
LIKELY BE IN THE UPPER 50S TO LOW 60S AMID AFTERNOON HIGHS IN THE
MID/UPPER 70S. MODERATE TO STRONG DEEP-LAYER VERTICAL SHEAR WILL
PERSIST ACROSS AREA AS WELL, SUPPORTING THE POTENTIAL FOR
SUPERCELLS. ADDITIONALLY, A MORE SOUTHEASTERLY COMPONENT TO THE
LOW-LEVEL FLOW IS POSSIBLE FROM SOUTH-CENTRAL/SOUTHEAST NM INTO FAR
WEST TX, WHICH COULD SUPPORT SLOWER STORM MOTIONS AND A RELATIVELY
GREATER POTENTIAL FOR HAIL AND TORNADOES. SOME VERY LARGE HAIL
GREATER THAN 2" IN DIAMETER IS ALSO MORE POSSIBLE HERE. THIS REGION
SHOULD ALSO EXPERIENCE GREATER LARGE-SCALE ASCENT AS THE SHORTWAVE
TROUGH MOVES THROUGH DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON/EARLY EVENING. THIS
GREATER ASCENT COULD RESULT IN A MORE LINEAR MODE AND THE POTENTIAL
FOR A FEW BOWING SEGMENTS. OVERALL, THERE APPEARS TO BE A RELATIVELY
GREATER SEVERE POTENTIAL FROM SOUTH-CENTRAL NM INTO SOUTHEAST NM AND
FAR WEST TX COMPARED TO AREAS FARTHER NORTH AND WEST.

Other tornado rated EF1. Here I thought Timmer had the scoop saying Heber-Overgaard tornado was EF2 but nope.

Gonna guess Reed misconstrued 110 mph as a LE EF2. Seems legit that he would be talking to them, but mistakes happen.
