It's crazy but it's hard to say if it's on the ground. Rfd is so intense that power flashes don't mean a whole lot. This board and WXtwitter are going a little over board with this
lm not really sure, it very well might plant a strong tornado but I don’t think it’s the worst case scenario or CATACLYSMICOut of genuine curiosity, what is your prognosis for this storm?
Looks like there is legit 90 mph winds in thereEven if this isn't a tornado, the winds are massive with this.
As someone who’s been doing this close to two decades and has seen a lot of scary radar images that turn out to be not quite as bad as they looked, yes, not no. Once we have a pink reflectivity debris ball or a huge deep blue TDS, then we can use stronger language. This is bad don’t get me wrong, but I’ve been around long enough to know when people are getting a little too dramatic without enough information. This is a huge but broad circulation with a relatively tame debris signature.
Schrodinger's bear cage.Couplet is intense, even extreme, but still not much of a CC drop.
Don't get me wrong, it's definitely there, and there is a tornado on the ground. Best case scenario is that the unimpressive debris signature is more representative of the tornado's intensity than the couplet. Worst case scenario is that there's a significant TOG, and the signature is unimpressive because the cell is a HP mess.
