Hard to tell what specifically for sure, but numerous dark particles flew with the consistency of airborne-debris as the rain began to wash out the view.

most of lena proper looks spared. north side of town likely not good.

What part of town? And does she have access to shelter? Damage will probably be localized to the north side of town.

She should be safe at least from the tornado then, hail should be more of the concern for her.
Fwiw my cousin (who I've always been super close with) was in St. Louis visiting her friend on May 16 last year and the tornado just missed her so I definitely understand the concern.
Must of been some chaser convergence on Twitter, it's down for me
