Severe WX Severe Weather 4/11 - 4/15

The warm front cells have now mostly grown upscale and apart from any mesoscale interactions the tornado threat has diminished for now.
The main threat now are the cells in Kansas, depending on how long they last, the shear magnitude will only increase as the evening progresses, with instability decreasing hardly any. Hopefully the inversion layer combined with the oncoming nocturnal surface inversion finishes these cells off before they do anything major.
Rare 3km nam W I guess.

Upscale is generous, they're large supercells close together but they don't fully look like they're congealing yet. Even though it's eating a merger I'd be suspect of the Faribault storm. Do agree on the Kansas cell being dangerous however.

Which is why I said “mostly”.

But moving on, Ottawa is in mortal danger. Possibly a TOR on the ground now.
