nws chicago being conservative with their torw's for the 18000th time this year. they replied to several tweets and said that they were watching copics feed yet not warning it
I think the meso instantly broke apart afterwards. The north Illinois storms are probably gonna be the better chance of an actual, decent (albeit slightly wispy) tornado. If there were to be some nastier tornado today I'd kinda imagine it have to be a mesoscale freak in Nebraska.

Actually from what I can tell the environment in southern NE is pretty decent on Meso-analysis. Of course storms actually have to survive and not get incinerated LOL.
EDIT: NVM it seems like it's plagued by nasty capping. Albeit it also seems like the RAP might be overdoing the cap?

The central IL cells have looked dumb and indecisive for hours and now we just had a fat stovepipe... Not strong but much realer than the last few botched rotation attempts.

Seemed more like all the dust enveloping it rather than it condensing into a stovepipe to me but yeah. Not much difference from what I was expecting out of today.
