Severe Weather 2026

Max is becoming even huger a douche than Max. That's incredible. Although I'll admit Ryan has honestly got a bit better in recent years.

Guess what? The name of the game is clickbait. You get rewarded for preying on people's feelings, and not giving accurate, high quality information. Sad but it is what it is and I doubt that method changes anytime soon.

PS I hope Reilly Dibble can shut his mouth about the SPC/NWS for a while. I always see him complaining on X. He's a disciple of Maxed Out Clickbait too. Who would think?

"Max is becoming even huger a douche than Max" LOL.

Yeah though, agree with everything. A shame too cause those kids are legitimately smart, I just wish they weren't trying to put themselves above the NWS. I feel like the net already has enough of the "I am above the experts"-esque attitudes.

LOL, I just realized, I'm tired but I guess it makes sense. He's becoming even huger a douche than he was months ago. I guess you can't get that out of context but i suppose my tired brain is onto something too

I've had enough of this constant criticising the NWS lately.

I was in a stream with some friends I know and one of them kept calling the warnings in Long Island "swing and a miss" and two "tornado warnings that shouldn't be"

Told them check the terminal and they start acting odd like "OH I was WRONG" and then saying I was right. Proceeded to say "let's zip our mouths shut and not criticise the NWS" and he told me back "You don't tell me when I need to be quiet buddy"

The ego off him was astounding and I just kept throwing jabs at it which he clearly didn't like. He's a odd person who's said odd remarks before that I would send you SSes of in chat but that's deriving off

Bottomline: i really wish people would stop acting like experts and just zip their f*cking mouths shut. You're not a meteorologist, you're no authority, give your opinion but don't be so confidently incorrect. I am in one of those moods tonight.

Yep. Seems like a isolated tornado or two remains possible over there. The risk in Nebraska seems more like a structureshow to me.

I am watching Sunday for the potential of severe weather including isolated all hazards in portions of Eastern NY. I'll invite @N0mz's thoughts here too. The potential for prefrontal storms ahead of a QLCS interacting with enough low level buoyancy + a bit of low level shear could lead to a interesting day for the area

Ihave a phenomenon that happens in my area frequently. We call it the hole gap dome something that steers rain especially storms around my small area. I have logged this as many as 20 times a summer. Hope I can send pictures View attachment 54711View attachment 54712View attachment 54713
Welcome to the forum!

Interesting, for me, it's been thunderstorms that have dodged me all this year. A week or two, every shower producing lightning practically dodged me LMAO

This is just me putting in my two cents but I think it would be very highly likely that some sort of terrian-based feature is a reason for this, though I couldn't say how exactly.

Yes thanks. I realize everyone says. The storms went around me. The usual explanation is sometimes you get rain or a storm and others miss. But this gap and hole does not occur around me. I have watched rain patterns and thunderstorms every event from I35 to the Mississippi River in southeast Iowa. For many springs and summers Yes. I am a fanatic with this. I I do not observe this except for here. It must be terrain. But it is strange.

This is Wapello County in Iowa. Chief Wapello would not sell his land to the government. So the government agent took him ona hunting trip. And the chief never returned. You fill in the rest. Some say. The Chief made a curse before he died. Tongue in cheek. But hey. As good an explanation as any! This hole has resulted in so many droughts in this area
