There was a doozy of an outbreak on May 27, 1973.What was the date of the largest outbreak in Dixie Alley (and United States) history again? I forgot.
2018ing
Yep, I think it's worth noting we're *looks at calendar* 3 days into April. The season has been pretty quiet thus far for the core of the Deep South/Southeast, though we've still had a handful of events that have brought sporadic but nevertheless notable streaks of tornadic activity to the region. Our trend of very active March periods in the South I feel is really driving expectations, but the Deep South can quite easily have tornado outbreaks, including major ones, all the way through the end of May. It was only a few years ago that we had the highly-localized but intense May 8, 2024 outbreak across parts of Tennessee and Alabama. I do think there's a fair chance that Alabama and Tennessee stay well below average for this season, though the Midwest and Ohio Valley have had their fair share of activity thus far, keeping up with the trend set over the last few years.Climate Prediction Center already pointing next weekend out to watch. Y'all are giving up way too early

I think it’s a joke on X .Hard to take credibility from this guy when he posts “seasons over” constantly. Sorry, that’s just what I see from him.
I up this too, we had a discussion regarding what content should be posted from X on it a while ago and I don't think it belongs here. Funny, yes but this forum strives for actually reasonable discussion moreso than that..Can we not post wxtwitter sh!tposts in here, thanks.
That post I made was because of the drought. I was showing that. So I don’t know what big fuss is lol. I just ignore the comment/joke. I thought season is over was a joke not him being serious. Posted it to show how bad the drought is here across America.I up this too, we had a discussion regarding what content should be posted from X on it a while ago and I don't think it belongs here. Would've been fine if it was just Hunter's post. Not making a big fuss of it, just, i think that guy tends to be one of the worst on the platform when it comes to excrement postingThat post I made was because of the drought. I was showing that. @WeathermanLeprechaun
Not only that, that same tweet has been posted in here multiple times already. I understand drought being tangentially related to severe weather, but it really doesn’t fit in this thread. We can talk about the season being quiet so far without TwitterUser5999 making the same joke over and over if it’s the same one everyone is responding to that I saw a few weeks ago.Can we not post wxtwitter sh!tposts in here, thanks.
Gotcha. Well I just thought it was a joke all across X. I was not 100% in anyway supporting the idea of season being over or bringing that idea here.Would've been fine if it was just Hunter's post. And not sure where drought posts would go.Gotcha. Well I just thought it was a joke all across X. I was not 100% in anyway supporting the idea of season being over or bringing that idea here.
