A few minutes ago one of WTHR's meteorologist let out something of a distressed shout - her daughter's friend was in the path of the Columbus tornado and had sent pictures of the damage, which was evidently significant.

What does 57.0 Dbz and 4.9 kft mean? That’s from Morganfield.

4.9 kft is 4,900 ft which is pretty much 5K feet.

My assumption is you meant 49 kft, which is 49000 ft.

My mom and I were supposed to spend the night tonight in Columbus, Indiana at the Exit just north of where the tornado passed. I’m super glad we decided to delay our trip as taking shelter in a hotel would not be fun and my car would have definitely received hail damage.

We did move our reservation to tomorrow night. I guess we will need to contact the hotel tomorrow before we hit the road to make sure it’s still okay to stay there or if we might need to go farther up the road to spend the night tomorrow night.

Think it’s safe to say we are maxing out the environment for this event. Several clearly violent brillbit type tornados but nothing truly long track as of now

Copic has the Corydon storm right in front of him and there is no tornado on the crowd, in fact at this time he says it looks "more outflowy"

The bowling green tornado warning looks like it has a debris ball. But I don't think it actually is one

Owensboro is a pretty good sized city and no stranger to tornados throughout its history
