Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

The tornado-warned storm ~35 miles WNW of Bloomington has had a strong meso for a while, I don't know if any tornadoes have been confirmed with it (I'm recalling a photo shared from Sullivan, IN now actually? I could be confusing storms). That's another storm to keep watching moving forward, also very isolated.
 
It will be interesting to see the damage survey with the Nashville, IN storm. On reflectivity it looked intense, but the Vrot was only around 40 knots at the peak from what I sampled, which would imply it wasn't as strong as it looked on reflectivity.
 
We're getting lucky, very lucky with the Columbus, IN storm. I hope it dies forever, that thing was looking mean. However, a storm further west, near Clay City, is looking very suspect.

No that's pretty bad faith from Nixon. Most conversation around this revolves around the southern plains/I-35 corridor in OK and KS, which is the area that storm chasers would prefer to be and has been a while without a major daylight outbreak.

The best analogy for this outbreak might be June 2 1990, which did produce many highly visible tornadoes in pretty much the same area. The other would be March 2 2012.
