Thank god. This is just stunning to come back to after leaving on a calm thread and weather earlier mostly. I am still kind of in shock.

A large tornado might've just directly hit a couple hotels and an elementary school in Clear Creak IN, just south of Bloomington.
It missed the IU Bloomington campus though.

It's always especially horrifying when schools get hit. Hopefully it was empty.
And apparently there's now a wildlife refuge in the path too.

We’ve got the final SPC update coming shortly and I wouldn’t be surprised if they considered upgrading to a high risk given the number of discrete tornadic supercells we have now.
