According to Reed Timmer's Twitter, his chasing partner, Joel Taylor has passed away. No details available yet, just that his death is not chase related



I watched them on Storm Chasers, and Joel was my favorite. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Word is that it was a drug overdose while on a cruise.

Getting some additional information on his death. Various outlets are reporting that Joel was vacationing on-board Royal Caribbean's the Harmony of the Seas. He was found deceased in his cabin when the ship docked in San Juan, PR. Cause of death is unknown at this time and police do not suspect foul play. The case has been turned over the federal agents since it appears that the death occurred in U.S. waters. Autopsy is underway.

Sad to hear this, I really enjoyed watching the show when it was on. I don't think I could have put up with Reed as much as he did.
