I wanted to share this with you all. The Regional Rehab Center has been a blessing across Tupelo and all of North MS for 65 years. This year marks their 65th Anniversary. I have been a part of this great organization since 1998 receiving physical therapy as well as Speech Therapy. I have had the honor of being a part of their yearly Telethon called Celebration Of Hope for a long time and the last few years being the co-host of this Telethon. I have been a part of this Telethon for the last 27 years. Unfortunately, my speech therapist and former RRC director, Mrs. Kay Mathews, passed away Saturday. She was more than just my speech therapist. She was a great friend and mentor. Without her, I would not be able to talk to people or do video chats with different meteorologists across the nation. She helped hundreds of kids/adults across North MS overcome physical disabilities including me with Cerebral Palsy.
