Good day everyone,

We had an outage with our database connections maxing out overnight. Tonight, I'm going to revisit our load balancer and work with Cloudflare to help divert more bot traffic away from the site. Shouldn't take more than an hour.

Ah, if only TW could move away from Cloudflare. Reducing bot traffic is very important, but I'd like to see this site not fall with the rest of the internet when Clownfare invariably gets nuked again.

I actually didn't experience any issues here during Cloudfare's issues this morning.

lol I love that meme because it is so true. I love working with Cloudflare. They own up quickly (looking at you AWS and GCP) and they take a heck of a beating daily in bot traffic. However sometimes you just need to help them narrow down your origin of issue. Thats what happened in our case. They help remove about 4tb a day in bot traffic from us.
